multiplication from the get go

We are always seeking to replicate who we are and what we do into different areas of society and life ensuring the church is not stagnant but ever growing.

prayer isn't an after thought

Prayer is vital to everything we do and we never see it as an afterthought and so it

permeates everything we do.

we always empower

We are not here to become celebrities but want to empower others to be all God has called them to be.

mission first

We think mission first always considering how we can connect people to Jesus and want to always be conscious of those who have not been

reached with the Gospel.

we expect the miraculous

We expect the Holy Spirit to work through us every day prompting us to pray for people, believing for the

miraculous in their lives.

we keep growing

Discipleship is not a course but a journey and we all have a part to play in this, helping others to keep growing in

their faith.

generous in love

We want to be a generous people always finding creative ways to love those in our church community and the community around

us in our giving.

we think young

We want to be a church of all ages but will ensure we always think young having the faith of children as Jesus taught us to have and ensuring we are always raising the next generation.

make yourself at home

You should always feel at home when you are with us which means you matter and you belong - whoever you

are!

out of the box

We want to be a church that thinks out of the box, looking at new ways to reach and grow people, ensuring we are not stuck doing the ‘same old thing’ forever.

transforming society

We believe the church can transform society and so seek to make this happen in

all different spheres of life.

church everywhere

The small gathering of people is as much the church as the large gathering and so we put time and resource

into both.

our why

Why this way?

Why HUBS first, church plants second and larger gatherings third?

Why not start with the large gatherings and see who comes?

Why not focus first on the Christians and then do a big invite to the non-churched?

mission first

The Great Commission, in Matthew 28:19, tells us first to 'Go and then to make disciples.'

Although both reaching people and growing people are both important, we want to start with a missional mindset that helps people first reach and secondly grow people around them. We want to help people become missionaries where they are, helping them to make it easy to connect with and love those who don't yet attend church.

HUBS make this easy - whether it's inviting a friend to a meal in your home or connecting with people through a local project; this creates an easy access door for people to come in and eventually join a group of people of faith.

multiplication

One of the questions we asked was 'How can we continually multiply as a church?'

The traditional 'invite a friend' seems to only encourage a few to come along to church. We wanted to see how we can be more incarnational and so this is why HUBS are so important. They can keep being formed. New ways of reaching new communities can continually be discovered. This allows us to 'spread our net wide' and reach more people with the gospel, giving them an opportunity to grow and mature in faith.

raising leaders

There can be limited space for developing leaders to outwork their leadership in church contexts. We want to look at how we can create space for all capacities of leaders; giving opportunity for people to easily be released and find their place in the local church.

We want to see people of all ages and abilities with good training, coaching and development leading HUBS (10-20 people).

We also hope to make space for those who feel a call to church ministry to lead churches that we hope would grow far bigger than 20 people.

We want to give leaders the opportunity to learn what it is to lead within a missional context whilst also discipling and growing leaders around them.

planting together

Church planting can feel lonely. Just a missionary going to an unreached people group may feel alone. This model allows for a connection between church planters under a common vision and common values.

Regular connection allows the church planters to find community together, sharing the highs and lows and also allows space for them to learn grow in relationship with others.

We also want to take some of the pressure off by ensuring those leading have a covering of accountability and apostolic input.
